Hearts On Fire Announces Proposal of a Lifetime

Representing a key milestone in 85 years of unforgettable experiences at the famed Yankee Stadium, Hearts On Fire and long-time retail partner Michael C. Fina are teaming up with the New York Yankees to present a contest to win the marriage proposal of a lifetime. One lucky bachelor will be the first and last person in the stadium's history to propose via live video on the JumboTron during the final regular game of the season.

Yankees All-Star pitcher Mariano Rivera hosted a press conference in New York City on July 30 to announce "The Final Engagement," a month-long national contest to win a 1.5 carat Hearts On Fire diamond engagement ring valued up to $40,000, four Yankees tickets, and the exclusive opportunity to televise your marriage proposal during the final game at the original Yankee Stadium.

Participants can enter the contest today at yankees.com/thefinalengagement and can write a short essay describing why they deserve to be a part of Yankees history.

For every registrant, Michael C. Fina and Hearts On Fire will also donate $1 to the Mariano Rivera Foundation, which benefits underprivileged children.

The promotion will run through August 31. The final winner will be selected during the first week of September 2008 by a team of judges and chosen based on their passion for the Yankees, creativity, and overall appeal. The proposal will take place at Yankee Stadium on September 18.
